II. Dates
A.Entry submission¡G From March 16 to June 8, 2009
B.Results: All winning entries (semifinal winning entries included) will be announced on the official website and the organizer¡¦s websites. Semifinal winning entries: Semifinal winning entries will be announced no later than August 10, 2009. Semifinal winning entries will advance to the final in Taiwan and the online most popular award, and the winning teams may also have the chance to attend the September award ceremony in Taiwan. Final results will be announced at the award ceremony in Taiwan in September, and published on the official website the following day; all final winning entries will be notified by mail no later than August 31, 2009. |
III. Theme
The theme of the entries should aim to promote IPR protection, facilitate creativity, orencourage respect for one¡¦s innovative work, e.g., online file sharing, encouraging creative culture, business protected creativity, or infringement prevention on campus. |
IV. Rules
A.Eligibility¡GIndividuals or groups who are residents of Taiwan may enter as a team. Each team may have a maximum of four people, with one person being the director of the work. Employees and family members of the organizer and judges may not enter the contest; entry found to violate this clause will be disqualified.
B.Category :
Senior/vocational high school College/university Open (open to all; but one member of the team must be at least 18 years of age and is a non-student)
C.Requirements¡G
1.Specifications: Each entry should be 30 seconds long (¡Ó1 second is allowed or the entry will be disqualified) Presentation can be in the form of a video, flash, or computer animation.
2.Requisites
a.Submission requirements¡G One DV (PAL) or DVD copy of the work, plus two additional copies. Four stage photos (in 4R or JPEG format), completed entry form, and a maximum 150-word description. ?Entry must be work completed on or after January 1, 2009.
Entry may be in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, Cantonese, or English; Chinese/English subtitle must be added and a Chinese/English script must be submitted as well.Production must follow all laws and regulations of Taiwan/Hong Kong.
b.Copyrights¡G
1.All entries must be original works that have never been in any public contest or exhibition. Shall any entry involve copyright infringement or illegal act, the participants shall bear all legal responsibilities and will bedisqualified from the contest.
2. The organizer will not tolerate any unauthorized use of music, images, or clips. All entries must be original; shall any songs or background music are used in the entry, they must be original or downloaded from the officialwebsite of this contest. Any violation will result in disqualification.
3. All winning entries (semifinal winning entries included) are required to authorize the organizer and TIPO to unlimited and uncompensated use, and must also agree not to exercise moral rights on the organizer or TIPO.
4. Participants are responsible for all legal liabilities shall their entry violate copyright laws and regulations; the organizer will not be legally responsible for any breach of law.
5. Entries that receive sponsorship or subsidy from any organization or institution shall clearly state the nature of the sponsorship or subsidy on the entry form.
6. Participants must ensure that the sponsoring entity does not intervene in their creation and the economic rights of their work.
c.Restrictions¡G
Entries that have been publicly broadcast or exhibited, or have won any prior award are not accepted. (Employees and family members of the organizer and judges may not enter the contest. ).One of the team members must be the director |
V. Others
All submitted entries will not be returned; the participants must keep their own backup files.
Each participant may enter two categories, but may only submit one entry per category. f a winning entry in the final involves a team, only one award will be given to the team,regardless of the number of members in the team.
